#How to create modules & lessons?

Simply open the Material tab and start adding lessons - it's super intuitive!

See in the video below how you can add a bunch of lessons in ~30 seconds, and easily re-order them.

#How to re-order modules & lessons?

Simply toggle "Edit" mode, and now you can drag modules & lessons around to re-order them.

#How to lock lessons?

By default, when you create a lesson, it's locked. I.e., students cannot open it until you unlock it by simply clicking the lock icon.

  • This enables you enables you to create the lesson with no pressure, and unlock it when it's ready for students.
  • Also, you can lock future lessons if you don't want students to access them too early.

#How to hide modules?

If you have lots of content, it might be overwhelming for students when they open the Material tab for the first time.

If you want to hide some modules to make the onboarding easier for students, toggle "Edit" mode, and click the eye icon next to modules you wish to hide.

Whenever you want to reveal content for students down the road, just click the eye icon next to a hidden module to unhide it.

#How to share material between two classes?

Let's say you teach two 10th grade English classes - "10a" and "10b". It would be very useful to be able to share the same Material between both classes.

Let's say you created Class 10a first. When you create the second class 10b, you can select whether to "Create New Material" or to "import from" the other class.

Choose the import option to share material between the two classes. You can repeat the process to share material with as many classes as you need.

Create new class - Import Material

Note: Once you share Material between two classes:

  • Any change you make to the material in one class (such as adding/deleting/editing lessons, adding/deleting/editing questions) will immediately update all other classes using the same material.
  • Students' progress, locked lessons, hidden modules, and due dates will not be shared.
For example, you can lock Lesson 1 in class 10a, but unlock it in class 10b, and you can set different due dates in different classes sharing the same material.

#How to share material with another teacher?

To share class material with another teacher:

  1. Invite them to join your class by sending them a link to your class, and approve their join request.
  2. Now the other teacher can simply create a new class and "import" material from your class.
  3. Once they've successfully imported the material, you can remove the other teacher from your class.

Note: Once you share Material with another teacher, any future changes one of you makes to the class material (such as adding/deleting/editing lessons, adding/deleting/editing questions) will be immediately reflected on the other teacher's class.

You cannot undo this step, so we recommend sharing material only if you teach the same material (e.g., both of you teach 10th grade physics).
